When are auditions?

We are holding three days of auditions: Tuesday, Sept. 8, Wednesday, Sept. 9 and Thursday, Sept. 10. You’ll be able to sign up for a 5-minute time-slot anywhere between 7-9pm on Tuesday or 6-9pm Wednesday and Thursday.

When are callbacks?

If invited, you’ll join us for callbacks on Friday, Sept. 11th from 7-8pm.​

What should I expect?

• State of Fifths is MSU’s premier co-ed a cappella performance group. If you join State of Fifths, you’ll have the amazing opportunity to perform across campus, statewide, and even nationally! We recommend you check out our YouTube channel for some examples of what we do!

• State of Fifths rehearses 2-3 times a week throughout the entire school year, typically Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings with occasional Monday night rehearsals.

• State of Fifths is often invited to perform for a variety of competitive and non-competitive events. You can expect to perform in at least 4 major concerts in the school year, as well as 3-4 gigs if you become a member!

• Every year, we compete in ICCA (the International Championship of Collegiate Acapella). If you join State of Fifths, this will be a major commitment throughout the Spring semester.

• The most important thing is to be yourself! We want to get to know the most authentic version of you we can. This is a chance to make new friends!
